Overview

Player Impact Committees are collaborative groups that bring players into the heart of Minnesota Dodgeball’s decision-making, helping guide and improve our programs, services, and overall community experience. Chaired by members of the Advisory Council, these committees include active participants who represent the diverse voices within our organization.

These groups contribute to everything we offer—leagues, tournaments, open gyms, social events, new initiatives, and community-building efforts—with a shared goal of making Minnesota Dodgeball stronger, more inclusive, and more responsive to player needs.

The purpose of the Player Impact Committees is to:

  • Strengthen our programs and services through ongoing feedback, ideas, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Increase community engagement by helping shape events, initiatives, and the overall player experience.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion by elevating underrepresented voices, identifying barriers, and helping create a welcoming environment across all offerings.
  • Represent players’ perspectives from all corners of the organization—WTNB, Lavender, Open, Premier, tournaments, open gyms, and more.
  • Build a more connected, supportive, and empowered community through shared leadership and collective impact.

Player Impact Committees provide a structured pathway for players to meaningfully influence the direction of Minnesota Dodgeball while helping us build a community that is engaged, inclusive, and continually improving.

How It’ll Work

Application

Each year, Minnesota Dodgeball opens applications for players interested in joining a Player Impact Committee. Applications for the upcoming year will be posted in September, and the Advisory Council will review submissions in November/December to select committee members for the following year.

Committee members serve one-year terms from January through December. Returning members must reapply each year. Selections aim to balance diversity, player experience, and insight, ensuring a variety of player voices are represented.

Selection & Announcements

Applicants will be notified in December if they have been selected to serve on a committee. New committee members will be publicly announced to the community in January.
