ABOUT THIS LEAGUE
Our Lavender League centers LGBTQ+ players and creates a space intentionally structured around queer community and culture. This league is designed to prioritize LGBTQIA+ participants and those who actively support and align with queer community values.
As the flagship LGBTQIA+-focused league within Minnesota Dodgeball, Lavender reflects our commitment to fostering an affirming, community-centered environment. We recognize the importance of dedicated spaces where LGBTQIA+ players can feel supported, represented, and celebrated within the sport.
Lavender League exists to cultivate connection, safety, inclusion, and joy. We strive to create an atmosphere where participants feel seen, heard, and valued — both as athletes and as individuals. All participants are expected to uphold community standards rooted in respect, inclusivity, and accountability. Minnesota Dodgeball reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is inconsistent with the values and culture of this league.
Through Lavender League, we aim to contribute to the broader movement toward greater inclusivity and equity in sports, creating space for camaraderie, competition, and community to thrive.
Division: No-STING Draft
Format Definitions
- Draft: Captains will participate in a snake draft to select the players who will be on their team.
- Remix: Players register individually for our Remix league, and league managers will create new teams each week from the full pool of registered players. You’ll play with a different team every week, each led by one of our captains.
- BYOT (Bring Your Own Team): This division allows players to form their own team with certain salary restrictions to ensure a fair and balance league.
Whether you’re new to dodgeball or have played a few seasons, you’ll find this division an enjoyable way to connect with others. Experienced players may join on a case-by-case basis, though those looking for more competitive play are encouraged to explore our Open or Premier Leagues.
