General Membership Questions
We want to make playing dodgeball more affordable for our committed players while ensuring we can sustainably operate high-quality leagues. Membership helps cover essential upfront costs like insurance, registration platform fees, and staffing, allowing us to continue providing a safe, organized, and community-focused experience for everyone.
How do I sign up for a membership?
How long is a membership valid?
What’s included in my membership?
- Discounted league registration ($70 vs. $85 for non-members)
- Priority registration for all leagues
- Discounted open gyms ($5 vs. $10 for non-members)
- Free open gym session when you register during an open gym
- One free member-exclusive skills & workshop clinics per year

Cost & Payment
Can I still play dodgeball if I’m not a member?
Absolutely! Non-members are always welcome. League registration is $85 per season for non-members vs. $70 for members. If you plan to play 3 or more seasons during the year, membership will save you money.
I’m new to Minnesota Dodgeball and not sure if I want to commit to a membership yet. What are my options?
First-time players can register at the member rate ($70) for their first season to try out the league before committing to a full membership. We want to make sure dodgeball is a good fit for you!
Is membership refundable?
Memberships are non-refundable. However, if you have extenuating circumstances, please reach out to us at memberships@minnesotadodgeball.com to discuss your situation.
Why isn’t membership prorated?
For simplicity and consistency, all memberships cover a full calendar year. Our current financial and registration systems don’t support prorating at this time, but this helps us keep membership costs low and administration straightforward.
Does my membership automatically renew?
Memberships do not automatically renew. Minnesota Dodgeball will announce new year membership registration as we approach the end of the calendar year, allowing current members to renew for the upcoming year.
Financial Assistance
Yes! We offer an Athlete Financial Assistance Program that provides grants to help cover league, tournament, and open gym costs. We distribute approximately 9-10 grants per year. Financial assistance cannot be applied toward membership fees, but it can significantly reduce your league and tournament costs. Learn more on our website.
At this time, financial assistance can only be applied to league registrations, tournaments, and open gym passes — not toward the annual membership fee itself. However, assistance can help cover the majority of your participation costs throughout the year.
Credits & Other Programs
No, referee credits can only be applied to tournament and league registrations, and open gym passes on a case-by-case basis. They cannot be used for membership purchases.
- Not at this time. Each membership is individual and non-transferable.
No, memberships are non-transferable and tied to the individual member. Membership benefits (like the member rate) can only be used by the person who purchased the membership.
- We host a skills & workshop clinic once per year focused on improving dodgeball techniques, strategies, and gameplay. These are free for all active members and announced via email.
