Minnesota Dodgeball Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026
By purchasing a Minnesota Dodgeball membership, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Membership Period & Coverage

  • Annual memberships are valid for one calendar year from January 1 through December 31.
  • Memberships purchased at any time during a calendar year will be valid through December 31 of that year.
  • Membership benefits apply to the member only and are non-transferable.
  • Memberships do not automatically renew. Minnesota Dodgeball will announce new year membership registration as we approach the end of the calendar year, allowing current members to renew for the upcoming year.

2. Membership Pricing & Benefits

Annual Membership Fee: $40
Active members receive the following benefits during their membership period:

Discounted Pricing

  • League Registration: $70 (vs. $85 non-member)
  • Open Gyms: $3 per session (vs. $7 non-member)
  • Open Gym Punch Cards (10 sessions): $24 (vs. $56 non-member)
  • Tournaments: Varies per tournament. Members will get a small discount.
  • League Subs (Internal/External): No fees (vs. $7 non-member)

Additional Member Benefits

  • One free skills & workshop clinic per year
  • One exclusive end-of-year Minnesota Dodgeball swag item

3. New Player Benefits

First-time players registering for their first season receive special introductory benefits without requiring membership:
  • First League Registration: $70 (member rate)
  • First Open Gym: Free
  • First League Sub: Free
  • Tournaments: Varies per tournament. Members will get a small discount.
  • Open Gym Punch Cards: $56 (standard non-member rate)
New player benefits apply only to the player’s first participation in each category and cannot be combined with membership benefits.

4. Registration & Payment

  • Membership fees are $40 per year and must be paid in full at the time of member registration.
  • All prices listed include applicable taxes and fees.
  • Payment is accepted via credit card, debit card, and other payment methods available through our registration platform (TeamLinkt).
  • Membership does not include league registration fees, tournament fees, open gym fees, or other program costs unless explicitly stated.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Membership fees are non-refundable after purchase.
  • If you are unable to participate due to extenuating circumstances, please contact us at memberships@minnesotadodgeball.com to discuss options.
  • Minnesota Dodgeball reserves the right to provide credits or exceptions on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

6. Member Punch Card Policy

Member-discount punch cards are non-transferable and may only be used by the member who purchased the card. The purchasing member’s name will be written on the punch card at the time of issuance.

Punch cards must be presented at check-in and may only be used by the named member. Minnesota Dodgeball reserves the right to deny use of a punch card if it is presented by anyone other than the named purchaser.

7. League & Program Registration

  • Membership provides discounted registration rates but does not guarantee entry into any specific league, tournament, or program.
  • League and program registration is subject to availability and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to active members.
  • Members must register and pay separately for each league season, tournament, open gym session, or other program.

8. Referee and Volunteer Credits

  • Referee and volunteer credits earned through officiating and other activities can be applied toward league registrations, tournament fees, and open gym passes on a case-by-case basis.
  • Referee and volunteer credits cannot be used toward annual membership fees.
  • Referee and volunteer credit policies and values are subject to change at Minnesota Dodgeball’s discretion.

9. Financial Assistance

  • Minnesota Dodgeball offers a Financial Assistance Program to help players cover league, tournament, and open gym costs.
  • Financial assistance cannot be applied toward annual membership fees.
  • Approximately 9-10 financial assistance grants are distributed per year.

10. Membership Suspension or Termination

Minnesota Dodgeball reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership without refund if a member:
  • Violates our Code of Conduct or community guidelines
  • Engages in unsportsmanlike behavior, harassment, or discrimination
  • Damages property or creates unsafe conditions
  • Misuses membership benefits or shares their membership with others
  • Fails to comply with facility rules and regulations

11. Changes to Benefits or Pricing

  • Minnesota Dodgeball reserves the right to modify membership benefits, pricing, or terms at any time.
  • Changes will not affect active memberships but will apply upon renewal.
  • Members will be notified of significant changes via email at least 30 days in advance when possible.

12. Code of Conduct

All members must adhere to Minnesota Dodgeball’s Code of Conduct, which includes:
  • Respectful behavior toward all participants, staff, volunteers, and referees
  • Following all facility rules and guidelines
  • Playing fairly and prioritizing safety for all participants
  • Supporting an inclusive and welcoming environment
Violations may result in membership suspension or termination without refund.

13. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

  • By purchasing a membership, you acknowledge that dodgeball and related activities involve physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to: injury from contact with balls, other players, or equipment; slips, falls, and collisions; and other risks associated with athletic activity.
  • Members participate in all Minnesota Dodgeball activities at their own risk.
  • Minnesota Dodgeball, its staff, volunteers, board members, and facility partners are not liable for injuries, accidents, property damage, or loss that may occur during participation in any programs or activities.
  • Members are strongly encouraged to maintain their own health insurance coverage.
  • Members agree to waive any claims against Minnesota Dodgeball for injuries or damages sustained during participation.

14. Medical & Emergency Information

  • Members are responsible for providing accurate emergency contact information and disclosing any relevant medical conditions that may affect their participation.
  • In the event of a medical emergency, Minnesota Dodgeball staff will attempt to contact your designated emergency contact and/or seek appropriate medical assistance.
  • Members are responsible for any medical costs incurred during participation.

15. Photography & Media Release

  • By participating as a member, you consent to being photographed, videoed, or otherwise recorded during Minnesota Dodgeball activities.
  • Minnesota Dodgeball may use these images and recordings for promotional purposes, including but not limited to: social media, website content, marketing materials, and press releases.

16. Privacy & Data Use

  • Minnesota Dodgeball collects and stores member information (name, email, phone number, emergency contact, etc.) to administer memberships and communicate about programs.
  • We will not sell or share your information with third parties except as necessary to operate our programs (e.g., with our registration platform provider).
  • Members may request to view, update, or delete their data by contacting us at memberships@minnesotadodgeball.com.
  • By purchasing a membership, you consent to receiving emails about leagues, tournaments, events, and other Minnesota Dodgeball programs.

17. Facility Access & Rules

  • Membership does not guarantee access to facilities outside of registered programs.
  • Members must follow all rules and regulations of the facilities where Minnesota Dodgeball operates.
  • Violations of facility rules may result in removal from the facility and potential membership termination.

18. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising from membership or participation in Minnesota Dodgeball programs will be resolved through good-faith communication between the member and Minnesota Dodgeball leadership.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes may be subject to mediation or arbitration as determined by Minnesota Dodgeball.

19. Severability

  • If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

20. Amendments

  • Minnesota Dodgeball reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Updated terms will be posted on our website and communicated via email when significant changes are made.
  • Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
