ABOUT THIS TOURNAMENT

Minnesota Dodgeball, in partnership with the UW Eau Claire Dodgeball Club, is excited to host a low-cost Foam Dodgeball Tournament in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Dubbed the “Spring Showdown,” this event celebrates the arrival of spring with a fun and competitive draft-style tournament. Players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned dodgeballers, will be drafted onto teams to compete in a full-day, double-elimination format.

A portion of the proceeds will directly support the UW Eau Claire Dodgeball Club, helping to grow their organization and foster local engagement with the sport. Designed as a social tournament, the event aims to introduce dodgeball to the broader community while promoting camaraderie and inclusivity.

Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned pro, the Spring Showdown promises an exciting day of dodgeball fun for everyone!

Full refund will be honored, excluding processing fees, 72 hours before the tournament date or for exceptional circumstances.

ROSTER

Players will be drafted onto teams with up to 8 players on the roster, with a maximum of 6 on the court at a time. Tournament directors will be using a salary bracket to assign players to teams to the best of their ability.

 STRUCTURE

  • 7″ Foam Balls (Draft)
  • 6 Round Robin Matches
  • 15 minute round robin matches
  • Double Elimination
  • Playoffs will follow a best 3 out of 5 format, with a 8-minute timer in each match before the “No Blocking” rule takes effect.

RULES

  • Standing headshots illegal.
  • Deflections off balls and players count.
  • Balls can get multiple players out.

10:30 AM to 11:00 AM – Welcome Announcements & Group/Team Photos
11:20 AM to 2:40 PM – Foam Round Robin
2:40 PM to 3:15 PM – Playoffs Preparation & Lunch
3:30 PM to 6:00 PM –  Double Elimination Bracket Play
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Breakdown & Clean Up
7:00 PM – After Bar Celebration

*If the tournament is canceled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a full refund of the registration fee to all registered players. However, we are unable to reimburse travel expenses for events beyond our control.
