Our Commitment

Minnesota Dodgeball is built on the belief that sport should be for everyone. Full stop. We don't treat inclusion as an afterthought or a box to check. It's baked into how we structure our leagues, how we train our volunteers, how we respond to conflicts, and who we partner with.

We are explicitly and unapologetically an LGBTQ+-affirming organization. We welcome players of all genders, sexual orientations, races, abilities, ages, and backgrounds. There is no hierarchy of belonging here. Everyone who walks through the door deserves to feel fully welcome.

We hold ourselves accountable to these values. If we fall short, we want to hear about it. Feedback and reports of harmful behavior are taken seriously and addressed directly.

Our Leagues

Our league structure reflects our DEI values in concrete ways:

  • Open League · Mixed genders, all skill levels, explicitly welcoming of LGBTQ+ players and allies.
  • Lavender League · Designed specifically for the LGBTQIA+ community. A dedicated space where queer community is centered, not just accommodated.
  • WTNB League · For women, trans, and nonbinary players only. A league that creates space for those who are often underrepresented or sidelined in mixed recreational sports.
  • Recreational, Intermediate, and Premier divisions · Every league runs all three, so inclusion extends to skill too. A first-timer and a ten-year veteran both get games worth playing, and neither has to hold back or hang on.
Financial Accessibility

We know cost is a real barrier for a lot of people. Inclusion can't stop at identity. It has to extend to economic access too.

Minnesota Dodgeball offers financial assistance for players who need support covering registration fees. Nobody should have to sit out because of money. If you or someone you know needs assistance, reach out. We'll work with you.
