Format

Double elimination, foam balls, Tricks & Treats pool play

Costumes required. Double elimination. Not your standard dodgeball tournament.

01 · Costume awards. Best Individual Costume and Best Team Costume. Costumes are required for the whole tournament and need to be culturally appropriate. Anyone in an offensive or insensitive costume or makeup will be asked to change or to leave without a refund.

02 · Double elimination. Two lives per team. More playtime. Foam balls.

03 · Upper and bottom bracket. Our goal is to offer both an upper and a bottom bracket. We need at least 12 teams to make that happen. If we do not reach that number, everyone plays in one pool during bracket play.

04 · Trick or Treat. Round robin plays differently here. Each round carries a trick or a treat, so pool play stays light hearted and still worth playing. We will explain the rest at the tournament.

05 · A social tournament. Regardless of division, this is a social tournament. We encourage teams to be built with fun, community, and sportsmanship in mind.

01 · On the court. 7 vs 7. No maximum roster size, though we recommend a max of 9 players for the best experience.

02 · WTNB players. Each team must roster at least 2 WTNB players. There are no on-court gender requirements, but players cannot sit back to back unless injured.

03 · Team salary average cap of 5.75. This is a team average, not an individual cap. Add every player’s salary score together, divide by the number of players on your roster, and that average must stay at or under 5.75.

04 · The 2026 Salary Bracket. Every player is assigned a score on the 2026 Salary Bracket. If a player is not on it, reach out to a member of the advisory council. For out-of-state players, we will work with local leagues to assess skill level if we have not seen you play before.

05 · Free agents. You can register on your own as a free agent. If there are enough of you, we will build a team around you.

Both are representing Minnesota at the World Dodgeball Championship in Bangkok this December.

$5 from every registration goes toward their travels.
