Minnesota Dodgeball hosted this one in partnership with the UW Eau Claire Dodgeball Club: a low-cost foam tournament celebrating the arrival of spring, with players of all skill levels drafted onto teams for a full-day double elimination format.

A portion of the proceeds went directly to the UW Eau Claire Dodgeball Club, helping grow their organization and local engagement with the sport. It was built as a social tournament, to introduce dodgeball to the broader community.

Full refunds were honoured, excluding processing fees, up to 72 hours before the tournament or for exceptional circumstances.

Roster

• Players were drafted onto teams, up to 8 on a roster and a maximum of 6 on the court at a time.
• Tournament directors used a salary bracket to assign players to teams.
• Minimum 6 teams, maximum 14 teams.

Structure

• 7″ foam balls, draft format
• 6 round robin matches, 15 minutes each
• Double elimination bracket play
• Playoffs best 2 of 3; semifinals and finals best 3 of 5, with a 10-minute timer before the “No Blocking” rule took effect

Rules

• Standing headshots illegal.
• Deflections off balls and players count.
• Balls can get multiple players out.
